So my thoughts on improving the season/show is better pacing, less embellishment from the narrator, finding truly interesting stories, and just a little more time into the season/s for the show settle in. Who is the New Narrator for Forensic Files 2 Known as the voice Peter Thomas was the iconic narrator of FORENSIC FILES. He won an Academy Award Golden Globe Award and a British Academy Film Award for the role. The show has cherry-picked a lot of great cases over the years. Javier Bardems performance as Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men was named the Most Realistic Depiction of a Psychopath' by an independent group of psychologists in the Journal of Forensic Sciences. The first season of Medical Detectives isn’t as strong as the later ones, however it was stronger than this season, mostly because they had a lot more historical cases to derive from. Last, I think it will take some time for the show and the new narrator to catch their stride. Second, I think it’s the pacing that’s hurting the show atm, I dunno if there’s more time being given to ads, but the first episode ends so abruptly, and I think that also contributes to the new guy having to rush things. Having listened to some clips from those documentaries, he sounds nothing like he does in the FF II episodes. ![]() And he's actually done some narration work with NHL documentaries in the past (I could give links to some of them on YouTube if anyone is interested, by the way). When you listen to his interviews, he's got that deep, resonant voice. When they first announced him as the new narrator, I started checking out as many formal interviews of him and any prior narration work that he did. ![]()
